Default piston help

I have a 82 honda atc and I want to overhual it and I found a real good deal on
a piston and rings for it but my compression ratio is 7.8:1 and the piston I can get is 10.25:1
So my question is, is that o.k ? What will that do to my motor? Will it just give me more compression?
Please give me some advice what I should do?

Default piston help

I'm going to take a guess and say you asking about the ATC 200. I have an 84 200s with that same piston. yes it helps but you may want to run 93 octane gas with it.you may not need it, But better safe that sorry I also found that a cam and carb for the 200x works good with that piston but I'm not sure if it will fit an 82'
