Default kill switch

i've got an old atc200s and the kill switch only works about 10% of the time. i'm betting that it jsut needs a good cleaning but was wondering if there is anything to watch out for. i remember how the headlight stuff works but have never paid any attention to how the kill switch was put together. is there any small parts that are going to fly outta there when i crack it open? i jsut want to be informed before i take it apart.

Default kill switch

You are right about the cleaning.

I restore a few ATCs each year and I haven't got into a switch yet that wasn't full of spiderwebs and crud. 20 years will do that....LOL

Nothing should fall out when you take the switch apart unless something is broken.

Usually, just a few sprays of contact cleaner and a LITTLE rubbing of embry cloth on the contacts fixes it right up.

Good luck

this switch is confusing me. i started the 3wheeler and drove it out to a good place to work on it, and the switch jsut decided to start working perfectily. i must have scared it because i shure didnt fix it. oh well, guess i wont have to take it apart quite yet.
