it kicks easy - i can do it sitting down most of the time. i was surprised; id even have to say it kicks over easier than my 250R...but as easy as it is the first time honda unveils the new CRF450X (with electric start) im gonna see if i can adopt that to the trx! I'm telling you it will not be long until an e-start kit, either aftermarket or from honda, is available for the 450R.

 

I personally think mine kicks easily. The cool thing is also there is no fiddling with it to get the piston in just the right spot - I just whip out the kicker, give it a swift kick & it's running.

I've started it 3 times while sitting down (just to see if I could) - to start it those 3 times, it's took a total of 4 kicks.

We've had pretty cold weather 15~20° and it's started on the 1st or 2nd kick most every time. It also has a real choke and real fast idle setup (that actually works), which makes for easy starting when cold & also keeps it running.

 

I'm going to try that next time, I never had any problem turning off the gas on the 400ex and then washing it. It was a bit of a surprise.

Motorcycle owners don't like to watch you kick your quad setting down and have it start.

Thats one of the things I loved about my friends Banshee. You could easily kick that thing sitting down.

 

I saw the 450R for the first time the other day. Nothing special. Yeah it looks good and all, but I didn't buy it or get to ride it so it's no big deal.
