Default Trail Tech Computer/speedometer for 400ex..

i was lookin at getting a trail tech computer for my 2000 400ex. in my Rockey Mountian ATV magazine it doesn't show a pic of it. i was wondering were it installs? and can i see it if i have my renthal handlebars on with a crossbar pad? whoeever has one please tell me how you like it n where it mounts up at. i also don't want it blockin my key n neutral light. how easy is it to install also?

I too had the same questions. I think you can get a billet mounting bracket out of Rocky Mt. But it's going to cost you. I assume it installs like a mountain bike computer...and I have done tons of those. I bet it would be easy. And I'm sure there is a way to work around your Renthal bars. You may just have to figure it out and build up a mount for it.

it says in the ad "precision designed for exact model fit" so it prolly should fit without the billet mounting bracket. i think it would be cool if i could mount it in the lil peice of plastic that covers the handlebars mount. it would look like a dash.

If you just order the computer/speedo kit it comes with a peice that clamps onto any place on your handlebars. So you could just put it up by your break or clutch lever. Only problem with that is if you roll your quad you would probably brake the computer.

You can always give Trailtech a call directly. Very polite and helpful tech support. If someone didn't already give you their site it's trailtech.net.
