Just picked up my 450R last week. Sweet. Typical Honda fit & finish. I took it to my main Sponsor; Legacy ATV and dropped it off. Time to get it ready for the TT Nationals. It sat for a few days in the cold shop. I went in and it started on the first kick. No problems @ all. the front brakes are incredible. I have a 265R fully set up for TT. New front master cylinder, wave rotors, Motul Hi-temp fluid, braided brake lines. I thought they were good. They are nothing compared to the new 450! We just started stripping it down. The whole 450R motor is going to Curtis Sparks on Monday. It will get the full National engine package as well as ignition and exhaust & carb. I hear people are having a hard time making steering stems. I gues the stock stem is made from some metric metal that is hard to get in the US. When you go to a wider a-arm; you get alot of bump steer. The stem needs to be corrected. I have it almost tore down to the frame. It will be powder coated. Axis shocks are on order. I have some on my 265R and fell in love w/them. Quad-Tech hood is here, Hardkor hubs are coming. -1" round swing-arm is being made. It is simliar to the 400ex, not exact, but close. I will post some pics to keep everybody updated. I will have plenty of stock 450R stuff for sale soon! I am going riding on a friends 450R tomorrow. We are putting some TT tires on it as well as a Rath sway-bar. Going to try to get some practice time in on the 450. These same people just put a KTM 520 in a 250R frame for their daughter to race TT in. This girl is FAST. She usually beats the boys in the "A" class. Wow sounds like it is going to be a beast. Hey where do you race TT at? Do you ever go to Elizabeth city to ECMX to do the TT races there?

 

Ya know...it really seems amazing to me that no matter how good a company makes something, it's never good enough! I mean, Jeeze, I'm drooling just thinking about getting my STOCK 450R!
