Honda Help
Hello. I am new here to this forum. I need some help. I have a Honda Foreman 450 S. I want new tires. I'm getting ITP Mud Lite Tires. I was wondering, are these tires to big or just right. 27-10-12(2 of those for the front) 27-12-12(2 of those for the rear) Are these tires too much for the bike; as in hurting or braking the axels on the bike?
Thanks,

27" Mudlites will be great for the 450 and you will not notice any big difference in power although your low gearing will decrease a bit with the taller tire.
You run into trouble on the 450 when installing a lift kit. The 400 Foreman didn't have this problem due to it's shorter shocks, but when a kit is put on the 450, the rear drive shaft angle is at a point to where, if severely strained, it will snap in half.
Stick with the 27" height, because the 28" will require the lift kit.

Hey guys, thanks for all the advice and help. I really do appreciate it a lot. I also want to know if you don't mind, will I have any trouble with the 27" ITP Mud Lites rubbing against the fenders and do you know where I can buy any extention fenders, because I know that those widder tires will sling more mud?
Thanks,

You will not have any trouble with that size tire rubbing any part of the machine. I've been using that same size for the last 3 years (ITP Blackwater XT's) on my '98 Forman 450 and have never had a tire rub.
Interesting info on the lift kit KNOWSALOT, thanks for the information, I've occasionally thought of a kit, but never bothered.
