i live on long island and buy the end of the summer i want to buy a trx 250r, i dont see many in the paper i would image i cld pick 1 up 4 like 2000 am i right, it doesnt have to b race ready, any comments about what type of money u think ill b spending.
and any input or aawsome pics i love this MACHINE

 

Running and complete for $2,000.00...... I sincerely doubt it. I don't know about NY, but here in Calif a "decent" used one would start @ about $3,500.00. Anything less will have parts missing or needing work and probably beat. Typically around here I see them for $3,800.00 (on a good day) and up....... and up. More often they start @ $4,000.00 to $4,500.00 for a pretty clean one.

2 grand seems a little low, but sometimes you run across somebody who doesnt know what they have. Good luck with your search.

 

yeah..I guess it varies a little from area to area maybe, or not.
I got mine stock still w/ original fenders and factory stickers etc etc etc..
just a ceet cover, different handlebars and different tires and a powdercoat. $2,200 bought it...the guy was getting divorced and needed the $$$

After I bought it, like 2 1/2 weeks later I found another for sale that had a graphics kit and a 265pv for $2,800 w/ a guy in a similar situation lol

but yea...I'd say any normal person selling an R thats decent will be atleast $3,000

 

i found an add for $800 the bottom end is blown but the rest of the quad is beutiful what is your take on it guys

 

well i have one, that i been debating selling off and on. trying to get as much as possible for it. got screwed on the deal to get it, but oh well. i would like at least close to $3000 OBO but that maybe be hard with the crack in the plastic in the front. i mean it shouldn't be a big deal. i can replace those. it has a bunch of scratches all over the plastic.

however i'm in CA. so not sure how that would work for you though.
