Default How much for an ex?

A friend of mine wants an ex and he doesnt have a lot of... well lets be honest, hes flat broke right now. anyway, i want him to get a new bike so he can keep up with me... or try to . Right now he has a polaris trail blazer. could he get a 300ex for considerably cheaper than a 400? also, how much better would a 300 be than his tb, and would it be worth saving up to just get a 400 instead?

There is a guy by me that has a 400ex for sale, I think he wants like $2500-$3000. Its a 1999 and all stock, good shape.

I don't think there is that much point in getting a 300ex. It seems that there prices aren't that much different than a 400. Seems like in Oregon 400ex's are the best deal, while mid-sized sport quads are always high priced.(300ex,warriors)
