i am looking to buy a sport quad but i dont know which one to buy. i have narrowed the search down to the yzf 450 and the new honda 450. what r the main differences between the two. i will be using them for trail riding around where i live and up north, maybe even the dunes if i ever can make it up there. which one would u say and what r the main differences between the two.

For the trails, I'd say 450R all the way. It is much more trail friendly....

However, if this is your first sport quad, I would go for a 400ex or a Z400 (or it's clones)

 

i have been riding quads my whole life. most of my friends have 400exs and i have rode them tons of times. i have a yamaha kodiak right now and i need something that goes faster and jusmps higher.

 

i am about five 10 and 200 lb so what would fit me best and which is the best

 

I would get the 400ex that would at least be an upgrade from a kodiak

 

I'd get either one of the 450's. Which color do you like best red or blue?

Peformance wise they are about the same.

 

For trail riding they both aint got reverse. and the honda doesnt even have electric start. and the 660 raptor has a lower MSRP!

 

Not that im for craptors but elctric start lower MSRP and reverse would be nece

 

i dont like raptors and i have riden a lot of EXs and they just arnt what i want. i want something more powerful, and something that i might be able to race with in the local harescrambles races.
