Can a 400ex hang with the new quads?

Default Can a 400ex hang with the new quads?

i want to pick up 2 quads for me and my wifeand i was thinking about the 400ex. we dont need to be the fastest but dont want to be eating every ones dust. how well do they do against all the new 400/450s?

well I would think if you put a pipe, jet kit, and filter you could probably stay with the z, kfx, and dvx considering they are basically the same quad but the new 450's will leave you in the dust

The right money and mod's and you can keep up without problem.

If you just get a 400EX and pipe it, with a k&n filter, no lid, and jetted up you will not totally be left behind. You'll have a quick enough quad to keep up.

It depends on how well you ride. The group I ride with consists of Raptors, KFX, and other EXs. Keeping up and even woopin most others is no problem. The KFX and Z are not really that much faster (stock for stock). Especially on the trails you will want a quad that you are most comfortable on. It's not always the quad the makes you faster (with the exception of a long straight or sand).
