bobcat rentals
#1
I want to start building jumps and I found out today I need more than a shovel.I spent all day and only made 1 jump about 2 feet tall (after I packed it down with my quad and jumped it about 10 times after every load of dirt ) So I was wondering, how much are bobcats to rent? and do you get to run them or do they send a guy to run it for you? I want to run it mainly because Im afraid the guy running it wouldnt build them rite.
thanks.
thanks.

That is how we built my buddies track with a bobcat. We rented one in Hutchinson for a week and it ended up costing us 478 dollars. I thought that this was a good price and like you we couldnt stand to shovel all that dirt that it took to build just our small track. You can check out the track on my website by clicking on new track pics on the main page. Anyway good luck, later.

I rented one for a day (8 hours)and it ended up costing me $275.00 including drop off and pick up.
That was for an 863,which has about an 8' bucket.
It took me about 7 hours to complete a track that covers maybe 1-1/2 acres.(supercross style).Make sure you have plenty of dirt before you get it,
because it takes alot to make any decent size doubles or tabletops. As long as you can run the machine somewhat effeciently you should be able to
build a nice track for yourself.Good luck.

Not sure how much of a track you are planning to make, but if you want more than a few jumps, a backhoe or loader may be a better option. Out here in Washington, a bobcat rents out for around $150/ 8 hr. day. You can get a 580K Super Constructin King back hoe for around $200-$250 a day and do a lot more work. Something really big like a Hyundai wheel loader runs for around $275-$300 a day. Those are the really fun ones. You can run them all yourself quite easily. I think the back hoe and the loaders are easier to operate or learn on than a bobcat, as the dual handled forward/reverse and foot operated lift and tilt is a little tricky at first if you're going too fast. Though, you can do wheelies in a bobcat which is kind of fun.
Anyhow, good luck with your track, have fun with the equipment!
