I have a crack in my stock aluminum 250R swing arm, it starts on the inside where the weld is then works its way to the top surface where the chain is, it is about mid ways in the swing arm, the crack its self is about an half inch to a inch long and is fine, I am planning on having it heliarched, does anyone know how much this will cost and how well it will hold?

If you have the steel swingarm you might be able to get welded and it might hold. The alumiun one can not be welded from past expericenes. We have tried this on about 3 and every one of them cracked after a few rides. Sorry but you are going to have to buy a new one.

Heli arc is a form or welding and as the other previous post stated, it will never hold. Lots of people before you have tried and proved that welding on these swingarms will not hold. Take the money and put it on a new one.
