250R carb problem...
I just took the bowl off my 86 250R carb and when i was trying to put it back on the float and something that looks kinda like a jet with a pointed end fell out. Well i put it back in the best i knew how and everything looked like it fit. I put the bowl back on and started it up and it ran for about 3 seconds and cut off, it wouldnt start again after that, even after being towed by another quad around. Im 90% sure the problem is that it wont get gas. I took the bowl off again and i noticed as the floats drop gas shoots out where the bowl would be. When i put the bowl back on the carb full of gas it will start and run for 3 seconds and then cut off. What could it be? Are my floats stuck? Thanks!

The jet looking thing, with a pointed end, is the float needle valve. Its number 2 in the diagram carb
My guess would be something isnt put together just right. That valve opens when the float drops, and the float bowl will fill with gas, then when the float bowl is full, the float rises and shuts that valve off. Sounds like something is interferring with the float, and its staying shut.
Maybe this picture will elp you see how its supposed to be.
