ok me and my friend are gonna start tearing my motor apart to make it a bad a$$ ride. we will probably bore it to 385 put a racing cam in titanium valve springs and port and pollish it mildly.would i need to buy a edelbrock carb for it.or a 400ex carb. dont want to use stock carb.what else could we do to it to make awesome?

 

Go with the 400ex carb- you can get one on ebay for like $50. Got mine with shipping $66. And you won't need a thhrottle to match it because you already have that par ton you 300ex. the edlebrock will set you back a good $400.
