I just installed a k&n air filter with the k&n jet kit #170 main no air box lid.she runs like a stripped but monkey in the open but feels a little sluggish on tight trails im also running a wb e series slip on with 12 discs.any suggestions on making low rpm a little more snappy without losing top end power.

thanks

Did you turn out your air/mixture screw 3 1/2 turns? I think you are running too big af a main jet.. I live in vegas and run a 165 due to the heat here.. in the winter i will go to a 170 but with what you have i think you should be running a 160,165,,, you are going to have to play with it...

I had to raise my Dyno-Jet needle to the third notch and open up the air mixture screw 3.5 turns. I am running with no airbox lid and a Noleen racing pipe with oversized head pipes with the WB rev limiter. It's running real strong in 2nd and 3rd.

wideopen,

Raise your clip (lower the needle) one notch. Sounds like your running a bit rich in the mid range.
