Default honda vs. yfz

Roughrider.How much did you pay for the HRC kit and did it help much? What did they charge to install the Cam or did you do it yourself? Thanx.

I had it installed before i picked it up, so i cant really tell you how much it helped over stock. It was $350 for the kit and to have it installed.

my 2 cents and a quarter...
yfz450 = mx racing adict.
trx450r = fun for trails and dunes and wont break.

The kit cost 300 and they only charged 50 for labor to install everything with the cam????? WOW that is cheap.

I am gettin sick of Yami guys sayin that the 450R gearin is too tall but they can fix their seats for 75 bucks! The 450R gearing is fixed with 17 bucks!

No, the gearing isnt fixed by changing the sprockets. No matter what sprocket you have you will still have a higher transmission gear. Not to mention that when you gear down the sprocket you will lose top end.

Most dealers will give you some sort of deal is you spend alot at there place.

If you think the stock gearing is to high, grab a 13t front sprocket and it will solve the problem and only lower your top end by a couple mph.
