How do U clean a uni filter???When we got back yesterday I checked my filter to see if it was still clean.It wasn't it had mud and grass and leaves all over it.I know on a K&N filter U can run it under a water hose.Luckily I keep mine well oiled.The reason it is so dirty is cuase my cousin and I went riding my 250r ran out of gas and then we got a rained on.I rode my 250r for about 2 miles through mud and rocks and leaves.U guys know how a muddy trail is.I have a whole bottle of uni filter oil but first I need to clean the filter up.Any info will be greatly appreciated.And oh yea can U clean a stock air filter on a 300ex???

use mineral spirts (paint thinner) it works great and is safe if the moter sucks a little in

 

i would reccommend that u clean your filter after every day of ridin. Also pick up and extra air filter and oil the filter. Then slip it into a zip lock bag until you need a clean one.
You can use the uni foam filter cleaner or any other brand of cleaner that is to be used on foam filters.

 

I just use a clean can or bucket and some dish soap and water to clean mine. make sure it is completely dry before applying the oil. I usually let mine set overnight.

 

Uni filter has their own brand of cleaner and oil, just buy them.
