really? i wouldn't have guess that. i don't know how the battery will like it either. you have any idea what brand might be good? i know big gun makes one for around $135 or so. however, i saw another advertised on the top of one of the pages on this site but i can't find it anymore. i was thinking it was either around $50 or $70, but i can't remember. the other thing is i think i will be getting a new ignition (dyna or msd) and i don't know if it will be worth it with a new ignition. thanks for the help.

cals400ex-I recently installed a big gun rectifier on my wifes 440ex and it made a noticeable improvement in the speed the rpm level comes on from the bottom.I had my doubts that the big gun rectifier would make any difference but it only took a few short runs up a sand dune to feel the change and it was a good one and i would recommend installing one especially considering how cheap it is and what you get in return. I should also mention that we use the big gun rectifier with a big gun cdi and that may make a difference as opposed to using another type of cdi with the rectifier.
