400EX Kill Switch
#2
It's black with a yellow stripe. When I installed a Pro Design kill switch on my 400EX, I tapped into the positive coil wire a few inches from the coil itself, and grounded the other wire to one of the l-shaped fender bracket mounts using a ring connector...grounding one end is how the directions said to install it. I suppose you could also wire the switch in-line with the positive coil wire...i.e., cut the black/yellow wire in two and connect the wires from the kill switch to the cut ends of the positive wire--the main idea being to interrupt the signal from the CDI to the coil when the clip is pulled out. BTW, the black/yellow wire can also be found coming out of the CDI (the schematic in the manual calls it the Ignition Control Module)...it's easier to get to the wire there rather than the wrapped wire bundle near the coil.
