I was wondering is stock 400EX swing arms and shocks will fit a 300EX? If the do fit will I need longer brake cables?

It will work but you will need to move the shock mounts on the frame to accomadate the larger shocks. Get the 250R tower weld on kit. You will also need the tie rods and longer brake lines. 250R A arms will Also work and they should be cheaper for a used stock set than the 400ex A arms

i just found out you don't have to use the shock tower..Works sells special shocks for this that are 299, and about 10 times better than stock!

Yes works performance sells special shocks for front end conversions on the 250x, 300ex, but to keep the geometry correct the top of the shocks need to be move owtwards from the frame. Stock measurements are on my page link below.

yea I really like them.....but they aren't valved right. I turned my wheels around which adds 2 1/2 inches on each side. they weren't valved to handle the extra width so it makes them a little softer.......as far as bottoming out well it takes something pretty big before I know I'm bottoming. cause the big bumpers on the end makes it to where you don't even know you're bottoming. I guess I may send them off and have them revavled and maybe have reservoirs put on them. later
