Funny thing is, most people that ride 4 strokes think because it's more strokes, it's more power. That thought process is dead wrong. A Banshee's 2 stroke engine would be the equivelant of pluggin 2 CRF250R motors on to one bike and letting them share the weight distribution to power ratio. I've been clocked goin 73 on my 450R and that's about as fast as I can get it.

My Banshee on the other hand hit 89......and I have minimal mods done to it. Plus, if you think the hit in power from the 450R is harsh, try lettin loose on a Banshee. You'll notice a HUGE difference once you hit the middle of the power band. Banshee's gained their reputation from being the fastest......and there's a reason for it.

My 05 450r exhaust cam jetted bla bla with a different sprocket up front.... Plus One on the front tooth.... I did 83mph on a flat dirt road, I think it had more in it but the road ended. )-:

I have a trail tech computer that I calibrated next to my car so its pretty accurate.

but on that note..... I dont know anywhere you are going to see these speeds unless you are on a high speed run like I was... Tearin up the trails its low and mid range power that really counts, and the power that gets you to the top speed. Yeah thats great it the quad goes 100mph but if it takes 10 minutes to get there you may have a problem. With my trail tech computer I dont see more than 55-65 on the trails unless they are flat and straight

The 13t front sprocket will lower your top end, not raise it, so nothing to be affraid of there.

Top speed on the 450R with the stock CDI is all governed by the gearing. The CDI limits the rpm's your engine will reach. It doesn't matter what kind of engine or exhaust mods you do you will not gain a higher top speed without changing the gearing or CDI. You will make the quad quicker with those engine and exhaust mods.

I have an '04 450R with a 480 big bore, stage II hotcam, ported and polished, uni filter and a FMF Q2 slip on. I have a stock CDI.
I have changed the gearing from stock (14/38) to 13/37 and on the sand with haulers (sand sucks speed) I hit 69.9 on the gps.

I have an 05 450r with the HRC kit, K&N air filter, K&N jet kit, Pro Circuit Exhaust, and a 15 tooth front sprocket and I was clocked by the local police at 92 mph!

He forgot to mention it was in the back of his pickup...There is no way your Honda did 92mph sorry to say atleast not with those mods.
