I am thinking about getting a trx 450 and i was wondering what the top speed is? And what is the top speed for a yfz 450?

 

i will say around 74mph. cause i have had my 250R clocked at 74 before and we was even going down the highway, just to see how it would run on top end. the yfz i coudlnt tell ya probally about the same.

 

i have done research on this topic and top speed for the trx is 75 and for the yfz is 73

Let me give you a little hint. Those are good baseline numbers, but each and every machine is different. Different break in procedures will produce differing power numbers as well. Simple things like this can change top speed by a mph or 2.

 

i just put a pipe on today--- and was testing up and down my street - about 1-2mile run to test.
barely got into 5th gear for a bit - and had hit 72 already _according to my gps.
dang - too fast for the street - low end is rip your hands off ....SHHHt.

I almost want to go back to stock - too scarry now! its fast enough....
i was going to do the 13T sprocket - im taking that back to shop tomorrow and get my 25 dollars back - im chicken now.

cracks me up to hear those Banshee guys telling me how theirs' is just faster - its 2stroke ??!

Honda did do a really good job and a lot of people don't give them the credit they deserve.

 

WB E2 w/spark arrester or not.
It just came available last week -- i was trying to tweak it after installing it in my garage - dang had to move it outside was getting a headache - it BARKS now - its rated at the legal 96db.. according to the tags and WB , but i swear in my garage it felt like 126db. i had to take it out and bug the neighbors instead.. oh well.

looks real nice since it matches the color of the engine - kinda' brown gold colored - i dont have pictures yet- i will after next wknd- plan to take it out and ride out in the desert some more.


i considered ProC, E Series,and 496 - also Yoshi -- but this one looks cool.'
496 was on back order - E series they told me was going to be 'discontinued soon' ?? - although i saw a few in stock at the local MC shops - they were ok - but the E series is so 90's... you know
