Default gearing and tires

I have a honda 250x. the gearing is the same as the 300ex... the stock gearings is a 13...you should have got the top end back with a 14. if you didn't and you go up one more tooth to a 15 you going to lose a lot of acceleration.

Hmmm, he's right... At first I thought you were talking about a 400EX. The 300EX probably wouldn't have enough power to pull that gearing well, so with the 14 tooth you will probably be able to rev out higher and have more top end than the 15 tooth sprocket. The 15 tooth sprocket will probably be too much and might actually cause a loss in top end speed.

Sounds like you already have the answer you're looking for. Spend the $15.00 and find out if works for you or not.
