Hi everyone!I am having what i believe to be a jetting problem.I had the hrc kit installed in my 450r and it
seems to have a sputter sometimes when under full throttle.It only happens sometimes.Also it does not seem to be revving out.The jet is the 180 that came in the kit,needle is in suggested position.It is only 40
degrees here in New Brunswick,Canada.If someone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

 

I don't really know, but I have heard someone on here with a similar problem, the sputtering at high rpms. It turned out to be the jet fell right out or something like that. I hope that helps.

 

I am having a slight bog off the bottom in third and fourth gear, HRC kit installed. The thing will rev to the moon, so no problem there. I think I will just have to keep it reved past the bog until I figure it out..........riding style might be my problem.

 

Here are some jetting tips to help dial-in your Carb.

If the engine is having troubles at low rpm (idle to 1/4 throttle), the pilot system or slide valve is the likely problem. If the engine has problems between 1/4 and 3/4 throttle, the jet needle and needle jet (most likely the jet needle) is likely the problem. If the engine is running poorly at 3/4 to full throttle, the main jet is the likely problem.
