OK guys I really need u now!

Hey check your coolant and make sure the head gasket is ok. You could be getting coolant into the cylinder and drowning the spark plug. Also the same can happen with the trans oil if you have a bad crank seal. How are you checking if you are getting fuel into the cylinder?

I just went threw the same thing man! Turned out to be the stator BUT your could def. be the CDI box. Best thing to do is switch with another 250R if soembody has one that you know. Also when eletrical parts start going bad it makes your bike act like its running real rich.

Thanks for the replies so far guys! no luck yet but im going to try another carb tomorrow and see what happens. I tried the pulling it around the block and the plug came out wet every time. The head gasket is new so it should be ok but ill check it anyway. The crank seals are also new. I know its getting fuel cuz its coming out of the exhuast pipe. Thanks ill let you all know what happens tomorrow.

Crackhead, don't do any more work. You never changed any variables did you? All you did was rebuild the top end and then put it back together right? Well if this is the case- and it ran good before- there are only two possibilities.
1. You did a **** pore job of putting it back together or maybe bad components.
2. Something that can break, did.
Your carb can't just go bad. It can get clogged, but then you wouldn't be getting fuel. So don't worry about the carb.
There are only two things that I can think of it being, one of which I have actually seen on a fresh topend before. That is, with all the new compression, the old reeds weren't able to take the extra pressure and they cracked. Didn't you say that you had V-Force reeds? If so, I have heard these break all the time.
The other thing is that it could have just been time for the electrical system to check out. In any case, good luck and I hope this helps.

The carb can "just get clogged" something might have been in the gas tank, or you know when you you just get your mote rebuilt and you wan to start i but theres not tank on the bike because you just rebuilt the moter, so you get out a hose, put it on the carb and drop it in a gas can, There coud be something in the gas can, wow this is useless sooo ill stop now.

if its running rich it probablly wont start depending on how rich the fuel mixture is but yet again how is ur plug. what is your compression at. if its low and is running rich that will def be the reason for it not starting.

I never thought about checking the reeds! Ill check those out tomorrow. I put it back together right with good quality parts that shouldnt be a factor unless the parts where defective. My compression is at 175-78. If it isnt the reeds what part of the electrical system could it be? How can I test the elec system? Thanx guys!
