450R questions??

i jus got back from riding today and i did everything from super tight tehcnical trails, to huge desert whoops, along with some hillclimbs, fire roads, and straight sandy creekbeds. i must say that the time i encountered a problem was in the tight trails, if u didn't keep moving, the quad wants to stall due to the high first gear. the suspension handled awesome in all situations. handling was superb too. the only complaint was that i was riding with a bunch of dirtbikers, and they complained that it threw up too much roost/dust and they would try and make me ride in back, the only issue was that i could pass them easily!
roughrider: what do u mean i can crack the case? i've never heard of anybody having a problem with giving the quad a little gas once its started. not to mention i have no idea where this even came from.

Hozed-I started to type in answers to his questions, and it just seemed so ridiculous. This topic in particular has been done to death!
You feel its rude for us to not answer his questions? I feel it is rude for him to ask questions that we have already answered a thousad times over and over and over again!
Lets move on to something new, and not just do the same old thing over and over and over again!!!

i understand that, but if you have a problem with it... then there is always the option to not say anything at all.
ive tried doing searches on here... and often cant find what i am looking for.. even though i know its been covered before.
he is also still pretty new to the forums... and i remember that when i was that new... i asked many repeated questions.. and i bet you did too.

Mr. Roughrider01, any regrets with the selling of the DS? how does 450R compare to the DS power wise? I am thinking of selling my DS for the 450R- thanks

No regrets in selling the DS. I liked the DS and never had any problems with it i just wanted to try something different. The power on the DS and the 450r is super smooth and just keeps on climbing. The 450r does feel like it has more power and more pulling feel. I havent had much time on my new 450r, the trails up here are starting to finally clear up. If i had to chose again I would get another 450, but i wouldnt mind having another DS by its side in the garage. It just seems to fit me better and feel better on the trails that i ride.

i don't know if it harms anything, but if u keep the kicker down after the machine starts it makes kind of a grinding noise, i found this out when i was teachin my friend to ride it, and he didn't let off the kicker right away. i noticed somethin on my 450R today: when i was riding last weekend i know that i hit the frame and swingarm skidplate on some rocks, and today i stoop the quad up on end to check it out, and the skidplate is plastic. im having a hard time getting over the fact that there is a plastic skidplate on a race quad. i scrathced up the underside of my quad pretty bad, so i'll be investing in a skidplate for the frame in the next couple of weeks.
