Age doesn't mean beans to me.

I'm 61 and I've got 12 grandkids and here's the deal: be a wiseacre or smarta$$ and you're flat OUTTa luck. I don't want you on or near my Ranch, because you spoil it for everyone else and can often seriously injure or endanger yourself in that holstile environment.

Behave yourself (that means respect me and my other guests, the environment and the animals living - i.e. keep the noise levels down - in the area) and as long as you stay on the trails you are welcome to do your own thing.

Gents like Akdude are right as the rain: respect is hard to earn and easy to lose, and on the 1881 Ranch having it means the difference between getting to ride great high desert trails or listening to everyone else talk about what a great time they had.

I know what you mean. My parents, and aunts and uncles own 180 beach front land. You would believe the peope that come down to the beach right thru our driveway, and park their quad on the beach and go swimming, we are like what the f*ck are you doing.(yes we have private property and no hunting signs) or the hunters man they are worse. Some times we are like, what are you doing here, and they are like the owner told me i could hunt here, and we are like we are the owner so leave now! The last thing i need is some redneck runnin taped out on his beat up quad hitting one of my little cousins. People need to learn respect!

Like somebody said, the only problem I have with anybody, young or old, is disrespect. Whether it is disrespect for the land (the worst), or disrespect for other riders, its still disrespect.
I hate all the lameo's who leave all their trash out at the dunes, trails, and trial heads. I hate the guys who ride at night without a light (at the hill), I hate all people who ride without a helmet, I hate the people who ride with their 3yr old kid up front, with no helmet.
It seems that I see as many "older" riders doign the above as younger riders.
Wear your helmet, clean up after yourself, be safe, and I have your back!

I agree with all the old guys and im only 16. When the places you are riding are extremely busy, you should be a little more cautious about where you are flying around. But you gotta "tear it up" sometimes if you see a spot with little or no people, I'll tear around. Loud Mufflers are cool, but they get annoying way too fast. Some of these punk kids are dumb. I try and put them in their place by shooting a good roost at em'

Respect. I have no problem with this, everybody I ride with is great. Until recently I was the youngest (21), now we have a 16-year-old in the group. Cool. The great thing about our group is, from the top down, comes assistance. I get help with my quad and hand it down to the new guy. That's how it works. So what if I'm faster than them? That just makes them enjoy talking about my crashes!
