I am 15 years old and I have nothing but repect for everyone. I dont care if you are younger than me or older, you will get the same respect to start off with. Of course, I will listen to my elders when I am riding more than I would to someone that is 10, but I respect noth of them. However, no matter how old you are, you can easily lose respect if you are a jerk and chances are you will get that respect back. It feels good to have someone older than me stop and take the time to talk to me in the pits and say how they are impressed with what I can do on my 300ex and they treat me as an equal. As for parents...mine are awesome! My dad payed for half of my 300ex as my b-day and christmas present, I payed for the other half. Now, I am getting a 450R and I am paying all $6,500 for it and I am still EXTREMELY grateful that my parents helped me with my 300. I have no complaints about having to pay this time around and my parents are proud of that.

I'll give anyone all of the respect in the world, and only ask one thing back, and that is that you give me the same respect that I have given you. Personally I won't give kids my age half as much of a chance as someone who is older than me. In most cases with age comes great experience and I like to withhold most of my beliefs on that. I'll openly hear people's opinions, and take them into consideration, but as soon as they're done they'll get my opinion right back. It doesn't take that long for me to get to trust somebody but my trust can be lost real quick, if someone screws up once it takes a REAL long time for them to get my trust back. Overall elder people know what they're talking about most people don't realize that until they're up into that age of experience themselves.

Age has nothing to do with it. Those who think they know everything bother us that do. It's that plain and simple.

do us older riders 28 to 30 years old
dude, 28-30 really isnt that old. just look at doug gust and chad duvall. they are well past the 28-30 mark and still the young guns are riding with all their might to catch these guys. dont declare yourself old before your time, you'll acclelerate it.

i enjoy riding with anyone, young or 'old'. but cannot tolerate any who get riding areas closed down due to litter or noise, or ride like showoff butt holes.

I'm 20 years old and I have a great respect for older riders. My step-dad used to take me out riding with him and his buddies on their TRX250R's back in the 80's when I was only 4 years old and I learned a lot from them. I learned to work hard for what you want ( I bought my 250R and paid for all of the aftermarket parts with my own money ). They taught me that you can be an aggressive rider without tearing up some poor guys private property. I learned not to go flying down a tight trail at mach3 because you never know if someone is on the other side. They also taught me to never put down someone elses quad. If they wannna run their mouth and act like a hot shot - tell them to put their money where their mouth is and settle it on the race track........

Everyone says age has nothing to do with it when aound here it really does. These 2 people with a banshee and a z where at my track. I looked at the guy and he was about 34... I said to him.. some how we started talking about good cams for the z400 and the bashee guy goes "yeah im alreaddy set up with my webcam.." I looked at him for a second and wondered if i should correct him... Slowly i said 2 strokes dont hace cams. he too it as if i was trying to kill someone. You younger kids think you know everything blah blah blah.. I just looked at him and went home. Everyone knows that a 2 stroke does not have cams.. even us littler kids. I think he was the one that was acting childish. Now do you really think he would have acted the way that he did to another grown up?

same here, but some older riders dont give me the respect to start off with so then i dont respect them

to get respect you must give respect, but if they dont give respect to me i dont care if theyre older than me or not im not going to give respect to them, pretty much in other words if someones not going to respect me im not going to respect them, im not being cocky its what i believe, im not going to be an arrogant little a$$hole i just wont talk to them,

i dont like how riders my age (14-15), try to argue about whos faster, and yes i have done that, and sometimes people get mad at me because they think theyre right but one persons right or both are wrong, but i do have to learn from my elders and like someone else said maybe they will learn something from me.

i like to be complimented by older riders it makes me feel good and they respect me and i respect them and i really look up to them and hope to someday be like them so pretty much ill respect anyonewho respects me and i never have an attitude with my elders just my peers
