I ran my old Recon threw a 4ft deep mud hole and it just started floating I hoped on it and drove it across the water I have never had any problems.

I know it wierd. I've been through pretty deep water in before and so has my brother-in-law on his. No problem. Then one day we both went through the small creek, more of a puddle actually, when mine died then his. We cranked and cranked and finally got them going. It's something to do with hitting shallow water real fast. If it's just right, I guess it sprays in that hard enough to force the water into and around the cable/plug. It's happened twice. The second time I had a can of WD in the tool compartment. I sprayed it down as mentioned above and that fixed it.
