I bought a new k&N air filter for my 450.I installed it according to the instructions but What do you do with the PVC vent hose? I really don't want to run it without some kind of filter on the PVC hose.

Also does anyone know what the micron rating is for the K&N filter's?

K&N makes a filter for the hose. You can find them here.

Not everyone runs a filter on these hoses because during a down shift it blows air out and sometimes with a filter this air is unable to get out and builds up preassure. You can drill a hole in the side of your air box and run it in there. It dosn't really need a filter on it.

 

yea its just air from the engine, should be clean with a nice oil smell to it...
