Default 300EX vs. 250EX

Hey, what do you all think is a better ATV for the money? I like to cruise the trails but still want to be able to gas it and feel some POWER! I will be doing some jumping too (5 feet or so). I am 5"6 and have been riding for 2 years, I ride my Dad's 300EX all the time and I like it but I have heard good things about the 250EX, too. Give me your opinions. Peace

the 250ex is very reliable. it also has tons of usable power. im 5' 8'' and i jump my 250ex and i never had any problems with it. i have aftermarket shocks tho so i dont know how the stock ones would be. the 250 is great for trail rideing to! over all its a great quad

get a 400ex. 250ex are slow. 300ex are not much faster and i hate the feel of them. bars seem too high compared to the lower seat. looks are terrible on 300ex. also i dont like the power i'm not trying to start anything, i m just stating my opinions, i have rode both. and also dont say anything like, well u have a z250 and thats slower than a 300ex because i know that.

They are about the same size, though the 250 is lighter. The 300 has WAY BETTER SUSPENSION, and the engine mods up better. And, a full manual hand clutch is way more fun!

I have busted out some pretty big air on the 300, that I would never attempt on the 250.

300ex, you'll be bored of the 250 fast.

Except in the woods trails where there's not much difference before you hit the tree.

Open areas no comparison.

if your riding trails the 400 and 300 are pretty close cause my ridin buddy has a 400ex and i stay right up on him.i would go ahead and try to get a 400 but if thats not an option at all get the 300ex.

Why do most people always say get the fasteror or the fastest quad? especially if money is an issue. all he wanted to know about is the 300ex or 250ex. I would say get the 300ex because it has more potential in the long run and i really like mine.
