Iam running a trek bike speedo on my polaris sport 400...just mount it on your bars, epoxie glue a magnet on your rim and make some type of mount for the sensor(I just zip tied it on the brake caliper) and set the speedo acording to the instructions works good

Is it hard to adjust it to the wheel size and do you have to adjust it to the tire or rim size?

you adjust by marking the tire..then rolling it around back to the mark.then you measure the distence it travled in mm then enter that # in the speedo

Do a search on the ATV Connection Tech page. There has been some discussion there on the topic.

I agree it is a simple thing to install and setup. Basically:

- install the speedo where you want it
- install the magnet on a rim or some other object that rotates one revolution for every one wheel revolution. ie. Mount it on the rim, an axle or ???
- mount the pickup in a location that allows the magnet to pass in close proximity to it at each revolution. The magnet flying by the pickup sends a pulse to the speedometer. The speedometer counts the pulses over time and uses the calibration number to determine the speed you are going.
- to calibrate mine I guessed at the calibration number required by choosing one of the preset numbers for a small bicycle wheel. It was not accurate, but in the right ball park. I then measured a mile with the car and tested the ATV speedo. I kept changing the ATV speedo calibration number until the speedo read a mile over the measured distance. A very easy job.

The End,

DJ

Just install it like you would install it on a bicycle.
