1st year for 400ex

Default 1st year for 400ex

i am thinking about buying a 400ex and am wondering what was the 1st year honda made the 400. i think it was like 99 but not sure. also im wondering if is any thing wrong with the early yeared ones cuz i know some times it takes a few years to get all the glitches out of a bradnew guad.


any help will be great. thanks

your right the first year was 99 and no nothing is wrong with the first ones they are honda not yamaha the only thing diff is the newer ones have bigger cam diff decals and maybe a diff carb but they r fine

what year did they start putting diff cam in, or are you talkin about the bigger carb they put in the '04...

all 400ex motors are the same, as is the carb.
