Default Rincon or Foreman ES

Hi, I live in Mexico, there´s no snow around here, but in the "sierra" there´s some hill climbing... (i will go there twice a month maybe)
Could anybody help on deciding if a foreman es is enough or it is worth to pay the extra for a rincon? the bike is not going to be used on a farm or ranch to work, it is just for recreational purposes, for trail riding mainly.
Thanks!

Well if your financially capable, go with the Rincon. Hands down the Rincon is the beast utility quad on the trails.

Since there is no work involved and trail riding will be done mostly...go with the
Rincon.

I have a Rincon, cannot speak too much about foreman , but I did ride my brothers ''04''rancher at 400cc and prefer it over my Rincon for hill climbing and fast tight trails. The Rincon is a good machine but steering with stock tires is very floaty. Good luck.

I would say go with the Rincon because it is one of the best sport utility fourweelers out ,but the new 400cc Ranchers are also good.

the rincon is exactly the machine to do the things you say you are going to be doing. its best features are exactly what you want ie... great cadillac of rides on trails, mind you at high or low speeds, comfort galore for those long days of riding. big bore 650 with all the power neccesarry to do 60+ mph! thats plenty speed for the trails. switchable on fly 4wheel drive (limited slip) good enough for almost all instances. selectable from full auto trans to 3speed manual shift for those so inclined. independant rear suspension is a pure delight of a ride. has pretty darn good groung cleance. honda quality top notch reliability. lcd gage has as much as one could ever need- trip, odometer, fuel status, reserve status, 4wheel drive or two wheel drive, transmission status ie...full auto "d" or selectable either "1,2,3". great headlights hi and low beam, great modern look. electronic start with pull cord reserve.

areas on rincon lacking:
skid plate / stick stoppers, not the greatest
engine breaking adequate but be prepared to use brakes also
reverse rev limiter, could cause problems in a minute amount of situations
no locker, not neccesarry to most but ther are again few instances it would help

i think the rincon is the machine for you no doubt. spend the extra money and get the bigger engine all the goodies that go with it. i think you will enjoy your rincon choice for many years to come.

best of luck and pick up a helmet when you buy if you dont alredy have one-safey 1st because "it" can happen to you.

p.s. 03 rincon 1,200 miles on it and love every inch. its a great machine that my wife and i ride almost every day.

I have both. They are completely opposite machine. Rincon rides better than a cadillac, Foreman rides like a dump truck compared to the Rincon. Sounds like the Rincon would work best for you, I think. If you can wait, get a 2005. If the rumors are true, they may come with a low range, which it desperately needs.

Good Luck
