Default 250r engine in 250x...possible???

i am just wondering if a 250r motor will fit into an 87 trx250x frame? i'm guessing it will require some modifications and machining to the frame and brackets, but is there anything that i should look out for, and is this an easy or hard modification?? i want to do this b/c i can't offord a whole 250r, but can i rather just get the engine and put it in my 250x instead??

It probably will fix because the R motor is smaller and lighter, the main problem is mounting the radiator.

My Question is why you would do that? The 250x is not a frame for that motor the suspension isnt great . Look for a 250R roller and put the motor in that.
