the lid from powroll already has the holes in it so then you would have your stock lid for those rides that there is a lot of water

I'll have to argue that a k& n filter filters better than a stock filter. It makes more power because it allows more air to pass through. Guess what, more dirt too. You can nearly see through a k&n if you hold it up to the light. I will agree the prefilter might be more effective at protecting the filter from water, but not dirt. Otherwise honda would use a similar design if it was superior.

this may sound dumb but i took my whole air box out or my 400ex, i got a k&n and outerwear for it. and for the pvc hose, you know the hose that blows out aire when shifting that usualy goes into the airbox, i just ziptied that to the fram (does nothing now just blows out aire). i only did this b/c i ride on farm land. if u ride in woods and mudd i strongly sugest u just take off the lid and get a K&n filter w/ outerwear. but anyway i could tell a big difference in the accel. but then i got my sparks pipe and it runs real well.

so you guyz suggest buying a K&N air filiter w/ the outterwear and just leave my lid off.... then when i go places where it's wet just slip my cover back on? -- is it worth the money to do this... as in do i notice the power differ/?
