alright, i heard that honda changed their carb size from a 37 to a 39 or something one year and they also upgraded their cam. If thats true what year did they do this and what other 'improvements/upgrades' did they achieve?

do not go out and buy one of those new carbs. i haven't heard of anyone actually proving they updated the carbs. however, you can get your carb bored out to a 38mm for $125 from rocky ridge or $175 from sparks racing.
for a new cam, get a stage 1 hotcam or an xr 400 cam. the stage 1 is a little more aggressive. if you are getting a higher compresssion piston, you can even go mroe aggressive than the stage 1.
