A powerband is the point in which an engine makes peak power.

There is no physical piece in your motor that you can take out and replace. It is simpily a word to describe how the power is transfered to the ground. For example, Have you ever rode a banshee? You can be driving around and not doing too much and then when you open it up it just explodes and takes off. This is because the banshee has a high powerband and makes most of its power in the top end. Most bolt on modifications you can get for a quad moves the powerband to lower rpm's, or higher. A pipe for example changes the length of the powerband. This is why each pipe is different and produces different types of gains.

Well, theres different types of powerbands, blue, yellow, green, white, purple, orange, pink, red and black. The black powerband makes the most horsepower, i have 2 of them in my banshee, its real fast with the valve bearings
