Default 250R Front Hubs

I have a stock 86 TRX. I would like to upgrade front hubs to 88-89 trx or EX front hubs. I know the rotors are different, other than that is it a direct bolt on?

thanks for any help!

They should fit. I was going to buy a pair of 400EX hubs off of ebay from some guy and he told me he was positive they would fit. I personally can't say they will for sure though because I just decided to keep my stock ones.

You will need 88/89 spindles as well. The shaft that the hub slides onto is small in diameter.

I found this oud the hard way

www.cal-atv.com may work you some sort of partical trade. Give Craig a call and see what he will do.

Mike,
Thanks for the info. I'm trying to get a budget togeather before tear down of my TRX. Its mostly stock, I want to
go through everything and powder coat. I know I need a bearing carrier, thats whats making me want to tear it
down. I dont care for the looks of the front hubs on my 86, but I could just have them p/c as well and live with it.
I really dont want to spend more than a grand on this project.

Thanks for the link, I wish I would have found them a year ago. I rebuilt my front calipers with new pistions and seals. I also needed a complete rear caliper, and had to build one using new honda parts.

What is a good source for bushings for the swing arm and front end?

Thanks again!

cal-atv is a good source.
I am also redoing my quad. Ordered a frame, new plastic and a few small items.
