ok my 400ex has the following 'MODS.' -- full body bash guards and A-arm guards, brand new mudshark rear tires, DG front bumper and DG alloy nerf bars - what should my next modificatin be, i'm getting shock covers tomorow. Then what should i get? a new cam? i was told to get either a hot cam stage 1. OR a xr400 cam - i do mainly riding on pipeline and woods w/ some mud, hill, rock, etc. i want low end as well as top end. i'm thinking about a pipe but i want alot of pwer w/ not alot of noise. ---- any upgrades that you think i should get for this kind of riding let me know. also let me know the price i'm looking to pay PLEASE.

 

do you still have the stock jet in the carb? what about the exaust? If you want more bottom end, get an exaust system. FMF Megamax2 will give you some good bottom end. I dont know resale price, but i think the whole system runs around $300-$375. To unleash the power from the pipe, you will need to get a new main jet for the carb (2.99). Get a K&N airfliter, mod you air box, (drill 2 1/4 inch holes, that should be good). If you do all that you will get that bottom end you want.
