Where is the best place to mount the ignition when you get aftermarket handlebars?

 

My brother mounted his in the side of the plastic.

 

i just zip tied it to the bars

 

I mounted mine on the right side (if your sitting on the bike) plastic next to the gas tank. all you have to do is drill about a 1 inch hole with a little notch at the bottom. you can use a pencle grinder to make the notch. if you make it the right size you should be able to pop it in place with no problems. go to my homepage and look at the big picture, you can kinda see what Im talking about.

 

i mounted mine on the frame on the right side of the bike infront of the engine, you have to mount it upside down though because the wires arent long enough, use 2 hoseclamps to hold it there and make it TIGHT! or you could hot-wire it

I bought a 1988 ignition holder for it. It just bolts on, the ignition is in the same place, but you don't have that big plastic piece.

 

I just hose clamped mine to the bars...It would be easy to hot wire it and it doesn't look very good though.

 

It has already been hotwired, not by me though.
