I just had a Hot Cam Stage 1 installed on my 400, but it sounds like my valves need to be adjusted. I am not sure what the clearances is at this time. I had the cam put in by a Honda dealer.

I was going to adjust them Sunday, but the paper Hot Cams Checklist said its the same as stock, but a little looser. The Cam card says .13mm Intake .15mm Exhaust. The stock manual says .10mm Intake .12 Exhaust. Could the .13 and .15 be a little looser for what the HOt Cam Checklist says???

Any Ideas??

 

.004 intake, .006 exhaust. I set up a friends 416 EX that way and it runs good.

 

Common anybody else. I need to go ride. Going to start adjusting soon.

i thought it was .005 and .006 but i am not sure. the tighter we went with my friends bike the better it sounded and ran.

Never said I did not believe you, just that the more info on the clearance, the better off I am. SOrry to make you think I did not believe you. Just looking for more advise thats all.
