250r or banshee help!!
#2
man, i am telling you it's all about what you in it for.....if you like trails, corners, jumps, and that deal...go for the 250r. the frame is superior to the banshee in all of those categories. if you down for the straight aways, sand, hill climbs, and big roosts....go for the banshee. the banshee was made for that stuff, and yeah, you can jump big with a banshee, but i would prefer jumping on a 250r. better handling, suspension and more control in the air. you decide and good luck

The 250 R will get waxed in top speed and acceleration. Like the former poster said, the Banshee rules the sand, drags, fires/logging roads, hill climbs, and last but not least, THRILLS. When that power band hits, SEE YA!!!!

Roostking,
How thick is your "powerband" 3/8" or 1/2"? Also what part of your body are hitting it with?
The honda 250r is a two stroke just like the banshee. They both have a "powerband", or a that magical point at which exhaust pressure builds in the expansion chamber to the point it acts as a "po-boy" turbo to increase the amount of fuel to be ignited and boosting the compression ratio of the engine by forcing exhaust back into the engine.
One bike rules the roost and long straights, the other rules everywhere else. Where do you ride? Are you going to race? Why do you limit you choices to those two bikes? Why is the sky blue? Where do babies come from? How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

Well, I suppose since its a thumb throttle, I am hitting it with my thumb. How thick is it? Well without a Tachometer, I cant be to precise, but Id say its about 5000 RPM thick. The sky is blue do to sunlight bouncing off the water. Babies from storks. OH yes, the powerband on the legendary 250r does not hit near as hard as the Banshee... One thing: How can the Banshee rule the roost, with the 250R ruling everything else? If you rule the roost, you rule, well, the Roost...Kinda a contradiction dont 'cha think?
Anyhow, Manson, good luck on your choice, either way, your made a few great choices...

just for clarification, a mildly modded R can beat a stock banshee..but a banshee can be built bigger for drag racing...but an R is a better all around machine, and with big bore kits available for it, its no slouch either.
