Just bought new 300ex, 5 days old. Its been fine except now it dont wanna start. I used the choke (stupid place for it in my opinion) but when I turn off the choke after its warm, it dies. Then it wont start without choke again. Then I just drove around without choke for 20 mins, then left it running stationary. When i got back on and gave it gas it died and wouldnt start again, except with choke, and then after turning off the choke it dies. I removed the spark plug lead to make an inspection and the plug wasnt black.
Any ideas?

 

take it back to the dealer, i think it needs rejetting.

 

What is rejetting, and is it a common thing?

 

well i'd start with a fresh plug, for some reason they seem to go on new machines, i've had simlar problems. if that isn't it i'd go with the carb cleaning by the dealer of course.

 

rejetting is when you change your air to fuel ratio. its probobly off
