I took alot of time figuring out the best parts. I wanted to make sure they were as close to matched as possible What sprockets are on those 450's I'am curious because I just bought a Renthal 14 tooth and was looking for some more bottom end grunt being when I lightend my flywheel it took a little power off the bottom end. This thing Revs like a 2 stroke now. I would like to race a new 450R. just to see really how competitive it is. Mine was just compared by the service manager at the Honda shop but this guy knows his stuff been racing for years. I will be at SandLake Memorial Day weekend mabey we can hook up and test em out.

I can only say this. I saw two different 416EX's beat a Raptor. A Raptor is faster than a 450 Yammy in a drag over 500 or so feet right? And a 450 Yammy is faster than a 450R right? So one could conclude....
Not saying it will or won't happen. Just saying a modded 400EX is a pretty fast bike & I was impressed considering.

I'am not making things up and I'm not trying to say I'm faster I'm just going by what i've been told. You would have to ride my 400ex to appreciate its smooth consistant power. Basically what it comes down to is for alot less money you can build a comparable machine and prety much the same reliability. So quit making me sound like I'm some bull$hitter. I'll be the first to tell you that I don't know a whole heck of alot about the motor schematics. But I do alot of research on parts and what works the best with one another. the power of this machine is evenly distributed but has been geared to be in the bottom end which gives me a advantage and the powerband is incredibley smooth and extremly consistant. I pay good money for reliable power and with this machine I have what I want. I'm just trying to explain that this isn't like every other 400ex with a cheap cam and a back yard bore kit a lot of time and consideration has gone into the build up of this machine.

some people on this forum surprise me. some of these haters have nothing better to do than run off at the mouth about a topic that we all know is not true. i just purchased a 450r 2weeka ago and stock vs buddies 440exbuilt right. cause there is a difference between a slapped together 440 ex and a nicley built on with cam, carb and port and polish. which his has. i can beat him off the line and by 1-2 quads no matter the distance and he can ride. with hrc kit and 13 tooth. i beta him bad off line and by 300 feet 3-5 quads. then he slowly reals me in but never catches me. and thats do to sprocket. so quit with the stock bore stories and 416 crap
