HELP! Replacing front sprocket on TRX450R
#1
OK. I acted on some advice I've seen on the board to get a 13 tooth sprocket for the trx450R.
Got the sprocket in the mail today, I've got the chained loosend up and I am ready to take of the stock sprocket, but I am having a hard time. I don't want to break anything so maybe I am just not giving it enough muscle but, are there any tricks for taking this thing off? Does anyone know if it is a left handed thread or a right ? I'd assume left but, I'm not sure. Any tips, tricks or advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
I read the manual and it said see the dealer for sprocket replacement... thanks but no thanks

So have you removed the one bolt holding the front sprocket on? That's all you have to do and no it's not a reverse thread bolt, just loosen it counter clockwise. The factory may have put some locktite on it but just give it some muscle and it will loosen up. Good luck!
