Who makes the best air filter?

Default Who makes the best air filter?
I am ditching my K&N air filter due to the fact that it really doesn't filter anything. What company makes the best filter? my main concern is filtering out dirt and dust

i'd stick with foam. i use a uni. i don't really trust the k&n. better flow just has to mean less filtering. i don't see a way around that.

If you know how to oil your K&N and use a prefilter it filters better than any foam filter does plus gives you alot more air flow which means more power! And why would you make a comment about it not filtering anything????

yea K&N is kinda over rated, when im done with mine im thinking about getting a uni

I use UNI on all my stuff, really keeps the dirt out while still gives it a good amount of air flow.

thanks, i think i'll go with the UNI filter. would it be wise to use an outerwear to cut down on filter cleaning intervals? i dont run an airbox lid.

Default Who makes the best air filter?
A Uni is already a 2 stage filter (2 separate layers of foam). It's OK to run without the lid unless you're hitting a lot of water. Don't cut down on filter cleaning intervals. This is one of the most important things to do to help the engine life and performance of your quad. Keep it clean and use a spray on oil like PJ1.
