itp mud lites grizzly 600 power loss
#1
I just put on a set of itp mud lites and they seem like a great all around tire. They are 27". The only thing that I dont like about them is that it seems like I lost alot of power. I understand that with a bigger tire its heavier and larger but there is a huge differance between the two. Any Ideas on how to get some of that power back with out spending alot?

I believe that the stock size is 25 inches. You are putting a heavier and taller tire with deeper lugs and bettter traction on a machine without altering gear ratios. You will lose power. Think about putting 35" tires on a 4x4 pickup truck. More mass and especially taller height takes more power to turn.

Exhaust will help you some.
One of the things us 4X4 Trucks do is put higher gear ratios in the front/rear end gears to compensate for the taller tires. It will also help correct any speedometer problems you will have with the taller tires.

my friend put 1" taller tires on his ozark and he couldnt wheelie like me anymore.. i tried to tell him it was the taqller tires but i didnt know why.. he thought something was wrong because he had the frame replaced and got new tires at the same time and he thought they did something
