It might give you close to a slip on, but it does not have as much as a good slip on, and definately does not do as good as a full sysytem. But they are better than stock, you can buy just the insert, from HRC, you do not have to buy the whole kit. I was just talking to my dad and looking at is kit, and it is better than what i said, It also has a few little things that open up the air flow.

the honda revs to jus about 10,000 rpms. my friend has a stock YFZ except for Razr rear, and nerf bars, the same mods that my 450r has. we r the same riding ability, and i weigh about 30 pounds more than him. so far the only place that he beats me is in any type of drag race, but when we switch quads, he still wins by the same amount, which isn't very much. stock for stock, the 2 quads perform equally. the difference is in rider preference, my friend likes stiffer suspension so he got the yamaha, i felt hunched over on the yamaha and like plusher suspension, so i got the honda. it all boils down to rider preference.

Click my link a couple of post up. I think you might want to retract that statement because it is false.
The 1st gear makes the 450R feel like it's slow. I'm not bashing your bike because they are both equally great machines that all comes down to whomever can ride the best. Nothing is different from the 250R/LT250R/Tecate250R days when it all came down to rider for whom was fastest.
