Default Good buy?

I am wanting to pick up a four stroke race quad as I a selling my mx blaster. I need help deciding if this quad would be worth the money. Here is the add.

2000 HONDA 400EX, 440EX IMS full job done brand new by CycleSports of Eugene. Paid 10.5K off showroom floor and dumped another 6k into it. Has heavy Duty 8plate clutch by SparksRacing to get all the extra power to the ground. Also has Anti-fade Lock Hub. Many Upgrades: +3/+3 Leager A-arms w/ Works Pro Series Triple Rate Shocks with Piggy Back Reservoirs, Lone Star +4 axle and SwingArm, Aluminum Battery/Filter Box, DMC Dual Barrel Exhaust, Big KandN, QuadTech Carbon Fiber Hood Scoop II with billet grill and matching Carbon Tank Cover, +1 Fat Steering Column w/ ProLine Bars. New wave brake rotor and chain sprocket with aluminum sprocket hub. Graydon Nerf Bars, Cascade gas cap, All FastLine red cables throughout, 1industires graphics/seat cover, custom levers, and much more. Many parts are new including Clutch. Very well tooken care of, oil change after every trip. Extremely Fast at roughly 42HP+, Fun and Reliable banshee beater. My Loss your Gain at $5,000! Very Quick Sale considering its worth 7,800+

Do you think I should try to haggle him down a bit or is that a fair price? On a mx track could I still be competitive with the new 450's? Do you think I should be able to beat a stock raptor or trx or yfz450 in a sand hillclimb? Thanks alot for the relplies everything is helpful.

Yeah no kiddin about saving money ruling. But how about the hill races should I be able to stay ahead of them and would I need a bigger carb if it doesnt already have one?

Sorry but you prolly won't run with the 450's on the track. Up a dune(idiot hole) you might get them with torque. That is a killer deal though. Get on it like, stink on well you know. If it doesn't have an fcr 39 carb they are worth getting.
